IC card and ID card are one of the chip cards we commonly use, which are often used in membership cards, access control cards, and campus cards, and are one of the more widely used types in the market. Although it is used a lot, sometimes I get it wrong, I don't know how to distinguish it, I only know their names, I don't know what the difference is between them, what is the difference. So, let's briefly explain the difference between IC card and ID card.
1. The working frequency of the two is not the same, IC card and ID card are two chip cards with different frequencies, which also determines that they cannot be used universally, nor can they be used on the same card reader at the same time, unless the card reader is a composite dual-frequency card reader. THE IC CARD IS A HIGH-FREQUENCY CARD WITH A FREQUENCY OF 13.56MHZ, AND THE ID CARD IS A LOW-FREQUENCY CARD WITH A FREQUENCY OF 125KHZ.
2. The storage function is different, if it is some simple use, then there is no difference between the IC card and the ID card in use, these simple uses are basically using their own internal code number, but in other uses, it is reflected, the advantages of the IC card are quite obvious. IC card is readable, writable and encrypted, with 16 sectors, can be used in 16 scenarios in terms of scalability, and can also store information and interact with data, while the ID card has only one card number, no storage function, and has great limitations in use, and can only use the card number of the ID card to use, and nothing else can be used, can not be written, can not be encrypted, can only be read. So the IC card has a storage function, while the ID card does not.
3. The coils are different, when it comes to their differences, but we don't know how to distinguish them, they can be distinguished by the shape of the coil, but this is only applicable to standard cards, some non-standard cards, and the difference between the two is not obvious. What if we have a card and don't know if it's an IC card or an ID card? Quite simply, look at the shape of the coil inside the card. We can use the flashlight of the mobile phone, one side irradiates the card surface, and the other side looks at the internal structure illuminated by the flashlight, if it is round, it is an ID card, if it is square, it is an IC card, which is a simple way to distinguish.
Of course, there are some other differences, which I will not talk about one by one here, and the two chip cards are different from different angles. But through some small knowledge points, we know how to distinguish the difference between IC card and ID card, just do a simple understanding.
