Custom Wireless Charging Coils for Smart Home Control Panels

A smart home equipment manufacturer was developing a wall-mounted control panel with an integrated wireless charging function. The product needed to charge a compatible mobile device while maintaining a thin appearance and leaving enough space for the display, control board, speaker, and mounting structure.

During early testing, the standard wireless charging coil produced unstable performance when the mobile device was not placed exactly at the center. The temperature also increased when the coil was installed behind the front panel. Metal brackets and the display structure affected the magnetic field and reduced the available design margin.

Golden Eagle reviewed the charging power, operating frequency, coil diameter, installation height, front-panel material, ferrite shielding, receiver position, controller requirements, thermal conditions, and allowable alignment deviation. The goal was to develop a low-profile transmitter coil that could work with the complete control panel structure.

The coil outline and winding position were adjusted according to the internal layout. Ferrite shielding was evaluated to help guide the magnetic field and reduce unwanted interaction with nearby electronic and metal parts. The lead direction and terminal structure were also optimized for PCB assembly and product installation.

The customer tested the samples at different device positions, charging conditions, input voltages, and operating temperatures. Validation included charging stability, coil temperature, front-panel temperature, alignment tolerance, long-duration operation, nearby-metal influence, mechanical fit, and assembly consistency.

Golden Eagle supports wireless charging coil development for smart home products, vehicle interiors, consumer electronics, and compact charging modules. The company has 15 years of R&D and manufacturing experience, and suitable projects may receive prototype support within approximately 3–5 days. Final charging performance and compliance must be validated in the complete terminal product.

The customized wireless charging coil helped the customer integrate charging functionality into a thin smart home control panel and provided a clearer basis for evaluating coil position, ferrite shielding, alignment, heat generation, and mechanical installation.

When sourcing a custom wireless charging coil, buyers should provide the target charging power, operating frequency, coil dimensions, maximum thickness, front-panel material, ferrite requirements, receiver position, controller information, alignment range, temperature limits, installation drawing, and expected annual demand.

Golden Eagle supports OEM and ODM development for wireless charging coils, Tx and Rx coil assemblies, ferrite-shielded coils, power inductors, transformers, and other custom magnetic components.
