What is a qi wireless charger?

Many mobile phone users have heard of the qi wireless charger, so what is the qi wireless charger, and how is it different from other chargers?

In the charger industry, there is a fundamental certification called WPC. WPC certification is the abbreviation of WirelessPowerConsortium (WirelessPowerConsortium), which is proposed by a technical organization and is similar to SIG Bluetooth BQB certification. It is not directly related to traditional national or regional certification but a globally standardized standard. As major manufacturers have joined the project, Apple's wireless charging application has dramatically promoted the technology in recent years. So as early as iPhone 8, Apple supported the qi wireless charger for charging.

Qi is a wireless charging standard introduced by the WirelessPowerConsortium:

Wireless charger Qi certification 1.2.4, the Qi wireless charging standard, in terms of 7.5W wireless charger certification, Qiv1.2.4 has an update relative to Qiv1.2.3;

1. The MP-A11 TX is officially incorporated into the Qi standard of Qiv1.2.4.

2. In Qiv1.2.3, this transmitter has been certified by BPP+FODExtensions, while Qiv1.2.4 will be certified by EPP (MP-A11), and Qiv1.2.4 has been simplified.

All in all, in Qiv1.2.4, Apple's 7.5W transmitter needs to pass EPP (MP-A11) certification.

Although Qi certification is not mandatory, it is essential, and products that use the Qi standard must undergo rigorous testing to ensure their safety, interoperability, and energyefficiency. 

The Qi mark applies only to products that have been tested by an independent laboratory and are considered "Qi certified." The wireless charging module with QI certification will have better safety and experience than ordinary products.
