Before a single coil is wound at Golden Eagle Electronics, the copper wire that will become its heart must pass a gauntlet of tests. Most factories assume their wire is "good enough" based on supplier certificates. We assume nothing—and verify everything.

Three tests. Zero shortcuts.

 (Pinhole Test): Finding the Invisible Flaws

The enamel coating on copper wire is what prevents shorts, ensures proper insulation, and guarantees long-term reliability. But this coating is microscopically thin—and even the tiniest gap, invisible to the human eye, can become a failure point under stress.

The pinhole test detects these gaps. Industry standards allow a certain number of pinholes per meter. Some suppliers test occasionally. Others test only when problems appear.

We test every batch of incoming copper wire. Because one pinhole in the wrong place can mean a failed coil—and a failed coil can mean a failed product for our clients.

(Uniformity): Consistency That Matters

The thickness of the enamel layer isn't constant unless it's made to be. Variations in uniformity mean variations in electrical properties—variations that multiply across thousands of coils.

Our uniformity testing measures the enamel coating's thickness along the entire wire length. Not just at the ends. Not just in the middle. Continuously. Because a wire that's perfect at the start but thin in the middle will produce coils that fail in the field.

(Meter Resistance): The Electrical Foundation

Every meter of copper wire has a specific resistance. It's a simple fact of physics. But "simple" doesn't mean "consistent." Variations in copper purity, drawing processes, and handling can all affect resistance.

We test the meter resistance of every incoming batch. If the resistance doesn't match specifications, the electrical performance of every coil made from that wire will be wrong. Inductance shifts. Efficiency drops. Products fail.

Why This Matters to You

Here's what most coil buyers don't realize: By the time a quality problem appears in finished coils, it's too late. You've already paid for the materials, the labor, the production time. You've already missed deadlines and disappointed customers.

The only way to prevent this is to catch problems before they enter production. That's what our three incoming tests accomplish.
