Can the phone be used while using the wireless charger?

Making phone calls while charging the phone won't cause harm to your body, but it's better to reduce the use of the phone during charging. With the increasing popularity of wireless chargers, will wireless chargers have similar problems? Today, let Golden Eagle answer this question for us.

The structure of the wireless charger consists of a high-voltage component, a power transformer, a wireless charging coil and a low-voltage component. The high-voltage power supply part is isolated from the outside world, while only the low-voltage power supply part is connected to the mobile phone. 220 volts of alternating current needs to pass through the high-frequency transformer of the wireless charger, and finally be transformed into low-voltage DC electricity that can be used by the mobile phone before it can be output. Generally, the safe voltage for the human body is 36V, and the output voltage of the wireless charger does not pose any harm to the human body.

Even if the wireless charger shorts out and the 220-volt high voltage is directly connected to the phone, the phone's circuit will be immediately burned out and unable to operate normally. Therefore, as long as your wireless charger is produced by a reputable manufacturer, it can basically be ensured to be safe. However, there are currently a large number of counterfeit and substandard chargers in the market. It is not uncommon for mobile phones to overcharge or even explode due to using inferior chargers.

However, from the perspective of battery life, it is best not to operate the phone while it is being charged wirelessly.

We know that the lifespan of a battery is related to the type and frequency of charging. Nickel-cadmium batteries can generally be charged and discharged 100 to 150 times, nickel-metal-hydride batteries can be charged and discharged 200 to 300 times, and lithium batteries can be charged and discharged 350 to 700 times. The longer the interval between each charging and discharging of the battery, the longer its lifespan. During the charging process, it is advisable to choose the slow charging method.

Some improper usage habits of mobile phone users can also indirectly cause battery aging. Some people like to make phone calls, play games, browse Weibo, or download music while the phone is charging. Generally, the voltage during charging is higher than that during standby. If multiple operations are carried out simultaneously, the chemical substances in the battery will both charge and discharge at the same time, making the battery prone to aging.

It can be seen that the statement "Don't use your phone while it is charging" is not without reason.
