Inductors are essential components for LC filters. Inductors can be divided into two types: air-core coils and core-coil. An air-core coil refers to a coil without a core, also known as a circular spiral coil or an air-core coil; a core-coil is a coil wound around a magnetic rod or magnetic material. When the application frequency is not high, core-coil is generally used to form the inductor coil of the filter, while when the application frequency is high, air-core coils should be selected for filtering. As the key part of the filter, the material of the inductor coil often determines the lifespan and quality of the filter. In recent years, many coil manufacturers in China have reduced material costs by using some inferior copper wire to produce coils. The products produced are not only unstable in performance but also have greatly reduced product lifespan. Such behavior not only causes harm to customers but also disrupts the fair competition order of the market.
