The simplest analogy argument can also help one understand the principle of a coil.

For those who don't have a good understanding of electronic components, the working principle of an inductor coil is actually quite abstract. Some people may not understand why winding a 'wire' into a 'loop' makes it an inductor coil, and what the principle is?

In fact, this is all based on the basic principles of inductor coils, which are simply physical phenomena. However, very few people can quickly grasp them. After all, electricity is something that cannot be seen or touched. In reality, everyone has learned concepts like "Ampere's Law", "Faraday's Induction", "Ohm's Law", "Right Hand Rule", etc. in junior high and high school. But all these concepts can also easily cause confusion. Therefore, for ordinary people, understanding inductors has become an abstract issue.

In fact, it's not very difficult to have a simple understanding of the principle of coils. As long as the circuit is compared to a river, the fact that electrical energy can be converted between electricity and magnetism is similar to the conversion of water energy between potential energy and kinetic energy.

You can compare electric current to a river. There is a waterwheel in the river flow, and because of the existence of the waterwheel, the flow speed decreases. The water that flows and pushes the waterwheel has inertia, and the rotation of the waterwheel and the flow of water form a stable balance. You will find that in this case, the magnetic counterpart is kinetic energy, and electricity is potential energy. Then what is a coil? An inductor coil is that "waterwheel", a "organizer" of the circuit. The inductor coil, like the waterwheel, can moderate the amplitude of current changes in the circuit. As long as we use such comparisons, we can clearly understand the circuit problems. The relationship between electricity and magnetism is actually the same as that between kinetic energy and potential energy.

To put it simply, when we can completely equate the function of the inductor coil in the circuit with that of a waterwheel, their core functions are the same - they both prevent changes in the current (water flow) from occurring and achieve a "lagging" effect, storing energy for a certain period of time. Therefore, the meaning of the inductor coil's function of "allowing direct current to pass and blocking alternating current" can be understood as "allowing direct current to pass" means fixing the direction of the water flow, and the waterwheel's blocking of the water flow has a lagging and slowing-down effect. While "blocking the direction of alternating current" allows the direction of the water flow to change, the waterwheel cannot operate normally in this situation, and finally, the waterwheel in the river cannot operate normally, which is the "blocking alternating current" effect of the inductor.

Above, Golden Eagle used a simple and understandable analogy to explain the physical effect of inductor coils. Anyone with a certain level of basic physics knowledge can easily understand it. Although this is widely present in various household appliances, electronic products, toys, and medical equipment, in daily life, except for professionals, the general public usually have little knowledge about this. This time, through the above brief introduction, I hope that all friends can have some understanding of inductor coils.
