The working principle, application fields and methods for judging the quality of solenoid valve coils
Solenoid valve coils are key components of solenoid valves, typically made by winding conductive materials such as copper or aluminum around an iron core. The solenoid valve coils produced by Dong Guan Golden Eagle Coil’s feature fast response speed, high control accuracy and strong reliability.
Working Principle:
When the solenoid valve coil is powered on, current flows through the wires in the coil. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, a magnetic field is generated around the wires, with magnetic field lines distributed in a circular pattern around the wires. The coil is typically made up of multiple turns of wire, and the magnetic fields produced by each turn of wire superimpose to form a strong, uniform magnetic field inside the coil. The strength of this magnetic field is directly proportional to the number of turns in the coil and the magnitude of the current passing through it. When the solenoid valve coil is energized, it generates a magnetic field that attracts or repels the cooperating valve core and other components, thereby controlling the opening and closing of the valve to achieve control over the flow of fluids (such as gases and liquids), including on-off and flow rate. When the solenoid valve coil is de-energized, the current disappears, and according to the law of electromagnetic induction, the magnetic field rapidly vanishes. At this point, under the action of the spring force or other reset devices, the iron core or valve core and other components return to their initial positions, and the valve returns to its original closed or open state, completing one working cycle.
Application fields:
Fluid control: In industries such as chemical engineering and petroleum, it is used to control the on-off of various corrosive and viscous fluids, precisely regulate fluid flow, and ensure the accurate transportation of materials and the smooth progress of reactions during the production process.
Pneumatic systems: In the pneumatic actuating components of automated production lines, the solenoid valve coil controls the direction and on-off of compressed air, enabling the extension, retraction, and rotation of mechanical arms, and enhancing the degree of production automation.
Oil and gas: In the processes of oil and gas extraction and transportation, it is used to control wellhead devices and pipeline valves, enabling remote operation and automated management, and improving production safety and efficiency.
Power industry: In the steam turbine intake and drainage systems of thermal power generation, as well as the speed regulation systems of hydroelectric turbines, it controls the flow of steam and water, ensuring the stable operation of power generation equipment.
HVAC: In central air conditioning systems, it controls the flow of chilled water, hot water, and cooling water, regulates indoor temperature and humidity, and achieves energy conservation and comfortable environmental control.
Medical equipment: In medical devices such as ventilators and anesthesia machines, it controls gas flow and pressure, providing precise respiratory support and anesthetic gas delivery to patients.
Pharmaceutical equipment: In the processes of ingredient mixing and filling in pharmaceutical production, it controls the flow and measurement of liquid medicine, ensuring the quality and precision of drug production.
The method to determine the quality of an electromagnetic valve coil:
The resistance value of an electromagnetic valve coil varies due to multiple factors. Generally, the normal resistance value is between tens of ohms and several thousand ohms. Use the resistance setting of a multimeter to measure the resistance of the electromagnetic valve coil. The resistance value of a small general-purpose electromagnetic valve coil is usually between 100Ω and 1000Ω. The resistance value of large industrial electromagnetic valve coils is relatively low, typically between 20Ω and 500Ω. Special electromagnetic valve coils used in high-temperature environments have a relatively high resistance value to ensure performance and safety, usually between 1000Ω and 5000Ω or even higher. If the meter shows infinity or a value very close to zero, it indicates that the coil is short-circuited and cannot be used.
